Standing Committees

Standing committee chairpersons are appointed by the ICCHE President with approval by the Executive Committee. Each chairperson is selected based on their expertise, commitment to the mission of the organization, and ability to lead collaborative efforts that advance the goals of their respective committees. Chairpersons serve as liaisons between their committees and the Executive Committee, providing regular updates and contributing to the strategic direction of ICCHE initiatives.

• Membership Committee
  Responsible for recruitment, retention, and engagement of members. Oversees membership benefits and outreach efforts.

• Program & Conference Committee
  Plans and coordinates the ICCHE Annual Conference, regional events, and professional development opportunities.

• Awards and Recognition Committee
  Manages the nomination and selection process for ICCHE awards, including recognition of innovation, leadership, and service.

• Marketing and Communications Committee
  Oversees ICCHE’s communications strategy, including newsletters, website content, social media, and branding.

• Policy and Advocacy Committee
  Monitors legislative and policy developments relevant to continuing education. Develops advocacy strategies and policy briefs.

• Finance and Budget Committee
  Assists the Treasurer with budget planning, financial oversight, and recommendations for sustainable organizational funding.

• Nominations and Elections Committee
  Facilitates the nominations and elections process for Executive Committee positions. Ensures diversity and transparency in leadership selection.

• Bylaws and Governance Committee
  Reviews and recommends updates to ICCHE’s bylaws and governance structure to ensure organizational integrity and compliance.

• Equity, Access, and Inclusion Committee
  Promotes inclusive practices and ensures ICCHE programming reflects the diverse needs of Illinois’ adult learners and educators.
